The general recession period of Turkish economy in 2006 was a negative factor for the company in terms of new investments. However the last months of 2007 brought dynamics to whole country and Dilek Hal?invested on advanced technology weaving looms and an additional facility. With these new looms, a significant 40% increase in annual production capacity will be expected by 2008 and by the time the additional facility construction is completed Dilek Hal?is planning to increase the annual output up to 3 million square meters, which is currently 2 million sqm per year. Today the company is exporting all around the world, mainly to the Middle East, Europe, Turkic Republics, Africa and USA. The increase in total products will ensure better results in international sales.
"It is obvious that customers have different tastes and demands in different parts of the world and Dilek Hal?has a production strategy of creating speacial designs according to the color and pattern preferences." says Mr. Ömer Erdoğan, the general manager of the company. He states that in export regions, customer demands differ from region to region. "The Middle East market enjoys darker colors whereas European customers prefer rather light colors." he adds.
Among the latest novelties, two new collections Pırlanta and Dilek Truva are highly appreciated in world markets. In Pırlanta and Dilek Truva collections, all carpets are produced from 100% acylic yarns however pile heights are different. In Pırlanta, carpets have 12 mm pile height and in Dilek Truva pile height is 13 mm.
"The rise in raw materials prices and market disruption due to the irregularity of US dollar rates seem to effect the carpet manufacturers in the near future." says Erdoğan and adds: "Nevertheless, we are planning to increase our export figures to 80% in 2008".
